Who wrote the song fever?

Someone asked who wrote Fever and all anyone knew was that Peggy Lee sang it once. But she did not write it or even sing it first. Little Willie John was the original singer for Fever in 1956 and the song was written by Eddie Cooley and John Davenport. Peggy Lee covered it later and added some lyrics and than Elvis covered the song 2 years after Peggy Lee. The question was closed and I don't know how else to get the correct information out there but to answer my own question.
