Why are our heroes often celebrated for all the wrong reasons?

Hi Libby - your poem is both amusing and well written. I enjoyed the read, thanks. I don't think it is just specific to Australia - there are many over here who are celebrated for the wrong reasons while the true heroes go unnoticed.
