Has anyone heard the theory regarding life in the centre of the earth ?

There is a theory that , at the centre of the earth ,there is a hole and there are inhabitants there that are not like us..Apparently there is a gateway to this place at the true North Pole and was discovered by some exploration party years ago and was hushed up.Has anyone else heard about this?
