Skateboarding?

it's never to late to start not sure why people always think that, you're still a kid you'll be fine i've seen 50 year olds who just started skateboarding so don't worry. For gear get a nice board, not a cheap walmart one and a helemt and one thing you'll really need is some skate shoes, yes they do make a diferance and are made souly for skateboarding and help out a lot. How fast you'll learn is how much you practice, when I first started out I was skating every single day hours on end, I lived and breathed it and I got good fast, you don't really need to do that but expect to be able to ollie while moving and maybe some cool flip tricks or grinds before the summers over, it can take months or just a few days all depends on how much you work on it and stay practicing, if you don't practice you will forget it's not like riding a bike and it's not easy, learn to skate around before attempting tricks and be good at skating around before you go off to the skate park, that's a good place to meet other skaters and get some pointers on tricks, but at least be good at skating and maybe doing an ollie, those are two importants. You don't need special skater looking clothes we true skaters have no look we just dress comfortable, that's the key to being good is to be comfortable, from your clothes to your shoes to your board if you're comfortable with it all then it'll all work great. good luck and have some fun.
