My friend cant get her cats spayed/neutered?

my friend has 2 cats [a boy and a girl] what she got them she found out they werent spayed or neutered [there not related] but anyways her female cat [scarlet] got pregnant and had 6 kittens [she gave 2 away] but now she is stuck with 6 cats! she doesnt have enough money to get them fixed and she doesnt want to give the kittens to a pound because they might put the kittens down. there no "no-kill shelters" were she lives. what should she do? she doesnt want her cat getting pregnant again,
